US stocks were lower on Monday, with both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq losing 0.3% and the Dow Jones falling about 50 points, following big gains last week.
Traders refrain from making big bets ahead of the CPI report due tomorrow and other key economic data during the week including the PPI and retail sales which will provide further clues on the economic performance and the Fed’s next steps.
